Key features

Cap saddle-shaped, with 2 to 4 lobes, folded, gray-brown to black, with a smooth upper surface. Stem gray to blackish, deeply ribbed lengthwise with distinct cavities/pits (hence the name), chambered inside; contains potentially harmful hydrazines.
