Key features

Small mushroom with a honey-brown, hygrophanous cap that pales from the center as it dries. Gills rusty brown; stem with a narrow, quickly disappearing ring and a silky coating below it. Contains amanitins, the same as the Deathcap. Grows in clusters on dead wood, including coniferous wood.
